I began this blog over a decade ago as a way to show my work and keep in contact with friends and family from what–at the time–felt like an impossibly removed place. It’s gone through many changes over the years, but at its heart it remains, simply, a place for me to showcase my photography and writing in a format without pretensions or expectations, away from most of the world’s eyes.
There’s no real format or structure here–assignments, outtakes, personal work, creative diversions, and random exercises all exist in equal measure. I’ve always been uncomfortable with the idea of perfection, so the aim is to keep things imperfect. Dust, scratches, and fingerprints. Missed focus or a misplaced word. And a bit of insight, with any luck. I hope you enjoy your time here.
