One of my last assignments of last year was to photograph Hanoi’s newest 5-star hotel in the heart of downtown–the Hotel de l’Opera. It was two and a half days of intense shooting and running around, but the client is super happy with the results, so it’s all worth it in the end. It was a great way to end 2010 and to start 2011. This hotel is going to be a serious contender when it opens its doors in the next few weeks. On the inside, you could be in any of the world’s great capitals. Which is unique in Hanoi. Anyway, there’s not much else to say about this assignment. The best thing is that its right down the street from my house, so I hope they know how to make a proper Old Fashioned.
