Just finished making a small portfolio to send to my agency, Wonderful Machine, using the book-making website Blurb. I’m a little nervous about not seeing the quality of the product before it ships to them, but there’s not much else I can do. They need a portfolio in less than two weeks to show, and there’s no way I can ensure it will get to the US from Vietnam in that time without spending an ungodly amount of money. I made a Blurb book about a year ago and it came out pretty good, so I’m erring on the positive side of things at the moment.
I also made some postcards as leave behinds through Moo. You can upload several different images and make small-size batches through their website, which is perfect to send to the agency. I would have been happier with a two-sided printing option, but you can’t win all the time. All in all, I’m optimistic about the quality of both the book and the postcards. But I’ll keep my fingers crossed anyway.
moo makes nice things, I have some cards from them.
I’m excited, but unfortunately I won’t get to see the final product; they’re going straight to the agency.
