Bangkok: Pattern & Procession

The crowded Thai capital as seen from the 77th floor of Baiyoke Tower, complete with window reflections. The skyscrapers all fading into the background. A portrait of a young girl at Wat Arun. The Temple of the Dawn in the late afternoon. A guard at the steps of the Grand Palace. All business but I could tell he liked having his picture taken. I think. Maybe. Wat Phra Kaew. A procession of schoolgirls against golden pillars. Black skirts and white blouses. High heels and high school. Swirling roads into the evening. Blue and yellow and going who knows where. Happy New Year. See you on the other side.
